Failures typically lead to unauthorized information disclosure, modification or destruction of all data, or performing a business function outside of the limits of the user.<\/p>\n<p>The Lexware client communicates with the underlying database with a default account. The application relies on a database (Sybase, SQL Anywhere) for storing relevant data. It is possible to connect directly to the database with the default credentials provided in the proof of concept section. The key factor to be highlighted at this point is not just the existence of hardcoded database credentials, but also the unavailability of alternate options to change the credentials required to connect to the database.
