The pentest professionals at usd HeroLab examined the online shop software Gambio during their pentests. The software offers merchants various functions that support the management of inventory and orders.
During the security analysis, several vulnerabilities were discovered. These included an SQL Injection and a Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability. By exploiting the vulnerabilities, attackers are able to read data from the database, take over admin accounts and execute code on the underlying system.
The vulnerabilities were reported to the vendors as part of the Responsible Disclosure Policy. Detailed information on the advisories can be found here.
